• Wearing a valid UIU student ID card is mandatory for entry into the library and study rooms at all times.
• It is also mandatory to wear a UIU student ID while staying on the campus.

1. Library and study rooms are to be used for academic purposes only.
2. Gossiping, hanging out, sleeping, playing games, engaging in unrelated activities, etc., are not allowed.
3. Silence must be maintained at all times in the library.
4. Students must maintain a low noise level in study rooms.
5. Food and drinks are strictly prohibited in both the library and all study rooms. Only drinking water is allowed.
6. Students must keep desks clean and dispose of waste properly.

1. Only students who are studying in the library may keep their bags (backpacks) at the library counter. They must take back their bags while leaving the library, even for a short period of time. Unattended bags for more than 15 minutes will be removed and sent to the Lost and Found section of UIU.
2. Leaving the library after depositing a bag at the library counter is strictly prohibited. If noticed, such bags will be transferred to the Lost and Found section of UIU, and those bags may be collected by their owners only within UIU's usual office hours (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM). No request for the collection of bags from the Lost and Found will be entertained beyond office hours.
3. Travel bags, project materials, helmets, etc., are not allowed inside the library.

1. Seats are available on a "first come, first served" basis.
2. A student can use only one seat, and occupying more than one seat at a time by keeping personal belongings, laptops, bags, etc. on the chairs is prohibited.
3. Seat "reservation" is strictly prohibited in the Shaheed Irfan Library and in all study rooms. If a seat remains unoccupied for more than 15 minutes, the authority reserves the right to remove the study materials and other belongings from the library/study rooms, transfer the materials to UIU Lost and Found Section, and allocate the seat to another user.

1. Students are advised to take full responsibility for their personal belongings, including mobile phones, laptops, calculators, important documents, etc.
2. The library authority will not be responsible for any theft, loss, or damage of the personal belongings of any student.

1. Mobile phones must be kept on silent or vibration mode at all times while using the library/study rooms.
2. Making or receiving mobile phone calls inside the library or in the study rooms is strictly prohibited. One should go outside the library and study rooms if there is any urgent need to talk.
3. Using headphones is mandatory when listening to audio recordings or watching videos inside the library/study rooms. Audios and videos related only to UIU courses are allowed to be used in the library/study rooms. Volume of the device must be kept low enough that it does not disturb others.

1. For charging a laptop or mobile phone at the specific charging points in the library/study rooms, you must be physically present in the library/study rooms during the entire charging period.
2. You must not leave your devices unattended while charging. Unattended devices will be removed from library/study rooms and transferred to the Lost and Found section of UIU.
3. The library authority is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of personal devices during charging.

If you notice any problems or irregularities in the library or in the study rooms, please report to the library authority immediately.
